As I am not yet equipped in my Python to engage the Thargs, I decided that I would observe and see what is what with them, on entering the USS I came to a stop and watched. After the Thargoid leaves I scoop up the few remaining canisters. I took some screenshots.

These first three pics show what was actually my second encounter in a USS (Non Human Signal Source, after scanning) 1) shows the Thargoid using a (tractor beam) to pull escape pods inside it, There were a couple of destoyed ships including a Corvette. 2) shows the Thargoid approaching me and 3) shows the Thargoid scanning me.

In this Image two Clippers have come to an end, same scenario as previous encounters.

Had to make a run for it because the Thargoid attacked me, I think because I had picked up an Occupied Escape pod previously.

This image shows a Cargo Vessel after an attack by a Thargoid. I think Thargoid damage shows up as green moss (for want of a better word). There were Type 9 ships moving around as well acting as if they were assisting.
