As alot of the posts i see are doom-and-gloom i thought with whiskey-breath i'd share my experiences of the Thargoids, becuase you know, this is a public forum and if you've read this far.... then i'm onto a winner 
So far i've killed/destroyed over 20 thargoid (can call them simply "alien" or even simply-er... Alan(s) if preferred) not because of the lore and not because i thunk they'll destroy humanity. The truth is far simpler, i struggle to kill them solo and i don't mean solo-mode, i have on several occasions engaged battle with just me-myself-and-i against the "goids" in the ever so scary place known as "O P E N". The big and i mean BIG (if only i had the courage to increase the font size!!!) difference i'm finding, is all the cmdr's in the same region where the goids are being found are actually playing the same game-style as myself & who would have thunk'd it! The goids do legitimately poise an actual challenge and i've not seen a single gank-attempt nor join-my-wing-so-me-mates-can-mess-you-up-in-a-haz-res like i've been invited AND partaken too before.
No, no, no... in the last week, me as Englishman has killed goids with French, German, Liverpudlian (no offence, but it was like a different language!!), Australian, Canadian, Portuguese, Russian, Greek, Spanish and Italian (i think) Commanders. the best part is i LOVED it, each and every single person i've winged with didn't care for the language barrier, all of us could work out "i have/am/carry/do x AX missiles & x Multis". Heck when with the French folk, he/she requested i scanned with a 'Xeno' as (my assumption from badly derived french lessons) they didn't have one i cared none for the language.
Bring it on Frontier Development folk, make us a human-united force against these Alan(s)!!!!!!!!
