My Theory of the Aliens - *Spoilers*

After the first contact event I've been looking into exactly what is pulling us out of Hyperspace. I think I may have nailed it so will use spoiler tags. Feel free to call me a Nutter though! :)

The Alien 'Ship' is not all it seems

I've examined every crash site (3 so far) and have found a common MISSING feature - The Alien 'Cockpit' it's not on the 'Creature' and nowhere to be found.
However in the first contact where the 'ship' is 'alive' there is a 'Cockpit' on the 'Creature' / Ship

I believe there are Two Aliens at work here! One intelligent Alien harnessing the power of a powerful Creature. Grafting a 'Cockpit' onto the creature allowing it to control the massive beast. - Much like the interaction with Humans and Horses but on a much greater and advanced scale. To me I feel there are similarities between the 'Flower Creature' and the Huge Whales from Earth's Oceans.

What the Barnacles are 'used' for..

The Barnacles are harvested to create the material that allows the creation of the 'Cockpit' for the Alien 'Flower Creature' - I believe these barnacles are a genetic creation of the Intelligent Aliens

Creatures Die, not Crash…

The Alien crash sites are in fact where the ‘Flower Creature’ Died. The Alien ‘Cockpit’ clearly missing from all crash sites indicates they detach / eject and are re-used for the next ‘Cloned’ ‘Flower Creature’

Who are the Intelligent Aliens?
I Honestly don’t know yet, I just don’t think Thargoids would use Creatures for ships. What I do know is an Alien race has found a way to harness ‘Space Flower’ Creatures for their own use and currently do not seem to be hostile.

That’s my theory anyway.

Thanks for reading!

I looked at that, but what you view at the crash sites is the back of the alien ship. The cockpit could be buried.

The aliens clearly lack our super powerful, 'magic' escape pod cockpits - with infinite range, speed, and instaneous function.

Don't be fooled, the Thargoids are not here to harvest our water, bio-energy, or any other alien-fiction-meme. They are here to steal our never-fail escape pods.

After having countless deaths and time intensive SAR for downed alien bioship creature-cockpits, the Thatgoids have had enough and are coming to take the one thing they acknowledge the puny chimp-creatures did better than them.

Kill them before they steal our precious. Kill....

Well even if it is still there I still feel there are two creatures at work here :)

I also think that the Ancient Ruin Site..
Is where the two come together, there are two creature launch sites too - 1 Small (Scout) and 1 Large (Scary)

and currently do not seem to be hostile

Apart from ripping us from hyperspace, crippling our ships, blasting us with an aggressive scan and flying off with no explanation...that's real peaceful.

I opened up with everything on it. Thargoids need to read more Confucius ;)

It just the same as collecting a sample of ants to study by ripping them out of their colony. It's not an aggressive action from our viewpoint as the ants are viewed as a lower form of life, but from the ant's perspective it's probably very aggressive.

Just look at this screen, made by CMDR ThirdNostril:

Enlarge it and look at cockpit. It looks like technology inside the cockpit is slightly different than outer shell. At the top of cockpit there is something which looks like commander chair... It is strange :D

My theory is that the barnacles are the ships themselves or more like incubators for the ships. The Unknown Artifacts are seed carriers and those cylindrical objects on their backs that we call Unknown Fragments are the seeds that get detached from UAs and after they fall to a planet's surphce grow into a barnacle. If you visit any barnacle site now after the encounter you will notice that the ground around them is now cracked meaning that something nasty is about to hatch. The spikes surrounding the barnacles are probably there to help the nasty to break out from the ground. However, barnacles have six edges and ships got eight... On the other hand chickens don't resemble eggs too. And what about double barnacles? Siamese twin ships? Can't wait to find out.

Space cowboys on space horses. I like it. :D

I think what has happened is a young Alien has somehow got into Daddys' place of work (a highly secretive research lab, looking into multi-dimensional travel), wandered into the test room at the wrong time, and is now looking for the way back home. He is scared, but (fairly) harmless.

The thing that should worry us is now Daddy is looking for his son. He is about 25 times bigger. He is NOT harmless!

Not bad at all. :)

It also could be other explanations

1.
What if the flower is controlling the small insect? Maybe it needs it for some reason- micro management of "stuff"

2.
The flower alien race got beat down and is a slave to the insects- makes a lot sense, specifically regarding the thargoids, but no attacks on CMDRS- yet, maybe they are gathering data on us....

3.
This is something "new" to the lore of Elite, and has a symbiotic relationship with the insect pilot(we don't even know if it is a Thargoid) another twist to the game

Fly safe out there, and watch out for flowers :p

Beware of the Flowers because I'm sure they are going to get you.

Flower Power, was a thing in the late 1960’s, the flower became a symbol of peace and love. People felt empowered by these flowers and adorned themselves and their vehicles with them in the hope we could live our lives in peace. Ok history shows it didn’t work but as a spin off it did create a lot babies.
Hey if these aliens are flying around in flowers that can’t be a bad thing eh! Maybe these alien flower ships are here for peaceful purposes.
The truth is the only thing we know about them is that we know nothing about them.
