My thoughts on the Federal Corvette A-kit.

So I finally managed to sell the rest of my soul and pick up a corvette. I'm happy I did, it's great. Good shields, good maunverability and good weapons. Unfortunately with my combat kit the jump range is somewhere around 10lys..., the rebuy is over 25 million and I feel dirty flying a fed ship...

Final Verdict: It's great, but has crap jump range and of course is expensive. I would recommend it, but it's up to you if the grind is worth it. Don't know if it's better than my cutter though.. can't decide.

Managed to get an a-rated vette to ~21Ly with engineers mods in the 2.1 beta. A much more respectable jump range. But it all depends how much of a grind it is to get the materials etc when 2.1 goes live on pc/xb1

in a 1v1, a properly fitted vette will beat a cutter. the 1 class 8 scbs cant compete as well vs the 2 c7s.

for ganking/pirating/wing fights? cutter just because of its speed. overall I prefer the cutter for that reason. nothing can beat being able to chase down pythons, and boost away from 2 of the 3 ships that are a threat to it.

yeah first priority is fsd range upgrade on my corvette, rest is fine. As said above, it all depends on the grind needed to get it, otherwise I'm quite happy jumping 20 times somewhere rather than 3 in an ASP.

And come on FD, give the alliance their own ships please, steal this idea, a bubble ship but BIG http://www.h2g2.com/entry/A3283346

I honestly don't mind the jump range, better would be convenient but I'm assuming there's drawbacks to upgrades like uses more power if so I'll do without the fsd upgrade, I usually make long journeys to BH or combat bond CGs in my corvette and that's about it other than that I'm in my home system working the nearby comp nav beacon or it gets parked and I go pirating with friends , I'm considering getting another for mining as well as I cba grinding rank for the cutter
