Beautiful, wonderful, outstanding, those are the key phrases I would have to say about this game... except like all games it has it's down sides. I'm not hating on the game nor am I just complaining for the sake of it. I do have some ideas in order to fix some issues I have found with some of the ships. These are just based on observations I've made about NPC ships and using different tactics to exploit certain weaknesses. Hate to say it but some of the worst ships I've noticed by NPC pilots are just terrible. I bought one just to see if the AI was under preforming or the ship. I'm not going to use what other people say because I don't have those ships, if I do I will mention it. Also note, I am playing on Xbox.

I tested some of these ships using an un-engineered Vulture, to scale my level to see if I was over performing, or under performing I tested against the Sidewinder, a Vulture, and the Anaconda most Anacondas are dangerous or elite. Sidewinder elite defeated every time, Vulture elite draw x4 battles, and Anaconda elite lost every time.

So first on the chopping block is the Cobra Mk.IV.

The Mk.IV isn't even close to being a treat in almost every ship I've faced it with. The fight is slightly better when I am in a Sidewinder, but it out turns it without engineering. Landing more shots by having more time on target, evading the noise is pretty easy except in slower ships like the Diamondback Explorer. I have a lot more trouble with Mk.IIIs.

The potential fix for this is to make it's hull tougher. It gets shredded once the sheilds are gone pretty quickly, I'm sure player's would remedy that short coming. The roll rate seems to be that of the Type 6.

Next is the Asp Scout. Actually all the Scout ships in General... 3 words, stationary paper targets. When they do turn and fight it's typically over within 2 circles. They lack area of attack that other ships have. (AoA or High Alpha)

Fixes to lateral thrusting making it harder for players to use "out of plain maneuvers" and stronger vertical thrusters would help those ships with time on target. I don't know the firepower of those ships because the other ships I've managed to get them to fight me out of seems to have much higher AoA and tends to out turn and put noise on. I've been hit a few times, but it was like getting hit with a marshmallow.

The Imperial Courier, I have this ship... Basically preforms like the Diamondback Explorer when it comes to pitch and roll. Those are my MAJOR grips, also the fact that it could use a large hard point the Diamondback Explorer has. It's basically a clone.

The fix is to give it the theme that most of the Imperial line goes for, Shields. A tier 4 or a 5 should do it. Upgrade the power plant some and leave the rest the same. The AoA is fine for size and just make the lateral thrusters a bit stronger, and increase the nozzle degrees to help tightening down the turning some. It'd be a better multi-roll without needing that class 3 hard point.

The Diamondback Explorer, again I have this ship, while I understand that this is a exploration ship, it could use some better ways to put up a good fight. The issue with it is it's lack of AoA. This fix could also make it better for High G plants. The Vertical Thrusters are super weak. Making them stronger would help with the AoA

The best way to fix this while keeping it more of an exploration vessel is to change the Vertical Thrusters. This in theory would keep the turn circle the same but provide a slightly better AoA.

Any of the "transportation" ships just need way-way better Hull. Looks like a brick, flies like a brick, should drop like a brick. Who cares what it looks like on the outside, so long as the cargo is safe.

Any of the "Passager" ships just needs better Shields. Lawsuits even in the 34th century would still be a thing, and replacing paint is expensive, having more room for luxuries are a must for higher profits.

Those are my thoughts, they will change as I either get better or actually own the ship... also the Mk.IV has been an exclusive long enough. Add some new ships! I can't wait to collect them all and give a better more in depth review on them. So far Cobra Mk.III is my anything ship and I love it. Probably the best small ship in the game. Lol

Always good to get people's thoughts on the CM4, should help keep things on topic.
