My Top 3 Most Wanted Animals for Every Continent (Recognized in Planet Zoo)

Image representation of my wishlist (Yes, polar is legally a continent). A text version will be posted bellow:

Africa:
  • African Forest Elephant
  • Forest Buffalo
  • Red River Hog
Antarctica:
  • Antarctica Fur Seal
  • Emperor Penguin
  • Southern Elephant Seal
Asia:
  • Grey Pelican
  • Malayan Tapir
  • Nilgai
Europe:
  • Scottish Red Deer
  • Spanish/Iberian Ibex
  • Wisent
North America:
  • American Bison
  • Eastern Moose
  • Great Blue Heron
Oceania:
  • Eastern Grey Kangaroo
  • Southern Cassowary
  • Yellow-Billed Spoonbill
Polar:
  • Atlantic Walrus
  • Barren-Ground Caribou
  • Muskox
South/Central America:
  • American Flamingo
  • Capybara
  • Giant Anteater
Am I expecting these in the base game? Not at all, these are just things I'd like to see in the game at some point in its life.

I'm lazy to make my own lists lol but I hope to see polar foxes, capybaras and anteaters.

I don't know how they make animals but it would be cool if they can use models for some animals from latest Zoo Tycoon game (like capybara and giant anteater e.g.) redo them to catch Planet Zoo standards and release them into the Planet Zoo game. That would be cool.

I seriously doubt that they add these 3 as they are not kept in zoos at all...Also having 3 elephant species is absolute overkill.

I expect bison/wisent to be added at some point, but I don't think we get both as differences between them are very little for average zoo-visitor, who isnť an animal-nerd
I mean, there's already some odd picks. Black wildebeest are seem in far less zoos than blue wildebeest, for example. I'd prefer it it animals weren't limited to "because it's common in zoos". We'd have domestic goats if that was the case.

I agree with that sincerely. I really couldn't care less if there is some animal common in zoos or not. After all, this is just a game and a game should reach a bit of imagination also.

There is an odd pick and odd pick though. I'm perfectly fine with adding zoo rarities (I would even appreciate it more than common species), but they still should be kept at least in some zoos and I think that devs will actually hold onto this...there are reasons why we dont have antarctic species in captivity.

About the black wildebeest, I actually see a lot of sense in this pick - it still resembles common species people know well from the zoo, but actually has bigger conservation value than blue wildebeest. The reason why they are rarer in zoo is because they are more aggresive than other wildebeest species.

The emperor penguin is actually kept in captivity - there are some at SeaWorld in San Diego and at least eight zoos and aquariums in China and Japan also currently keep and breed them.

Are they? Well, point taken then...China and Japan are a bit out of my area of knowledge and interest :sneaky:

At the very least, we're getting 1 Antarctic animal, likely the emperor penguin.

There will certainly be more, there is plenty to choose from, I think polar bears, arctic foxes and caribou/musk ox will be added sooner or later. Penguins woud be the best choice now to balance he lack of bird species...

None of those are from Antarctica. They'd be put under the "polar" continent.

Trying to limit myself to 1 enclosure animal per continent, and things I think stand a semi-decent chance of making it either in the base game, freeLC or DLC, I'd like:

Africa: Fossa
Asia: Short-clawed otter
Europe: Lynx
N. America: Buffalo
S. America: Giant Anteater
Oceania: Yellow-footed Rock Wallaby
Polar: Gentoo Penguin
