My top 5 annoying things in the game right now

1. "Clean" ships going hostile and attacking you, resulting in a wanted bounty if you defend yourself.
2. system security ships going hostile randomly (when you're not wanted) or, staying into your line of fire when you're shooting a wanted target which then turns them hostile to you.
3. the lack of stations with "high" demand for anything
4. the recent change to rare commodities which still has you sitting at stations for 30mins trying to fill up to the quota when they spawn 1T at a time
5. the deceptive trade data that says a station imports goods, then you get there and it has high supply and is selling them.

4. the recent change to rare commodities which still has you sitting at stations for 30mins trying to fill up to the quota when they spawn 1T at a time

erm... this one... you don't have to sit there for 30 minutes unless you choose to. I agree with you on your other points though.

Good news Sir! Now they won't restock at all until you sell the batch you currently have! :D

For number 1, if you're wanted and they shoot you they are trying to collect the bounty already on you. This is normal.

If you are clean and they remain clean after shooting you this is a bug, ticket it!

Number 2, define hostile. Are they shooting you or just red? If you kill a member of their faction they will become red (temporarily unfriendly), and if their faction becomes hostile towards you for killing their members this is normal.

For all of them, I understand your annoyance when the rep system (amongst other things) is so opaque!

1.) Nah, wasn't wanted in any system, had no bounty. Yet 4 ships that were clean (not wanted in any system) attacked and yes they remained clean after shooting. I shall record it next time it happens.

I agree with 3,4,5 I hate that no station ive visited has no High Demand of any good making trading really annoying. Making rare commodities not constant and being disappointed after traveling for 10mins to find low stock. And the annoying trade data info that is never 100% accurate.

4 is intentional.

You are not supposed to haul a full load of one rare commodity. You are supposed to haul a few as an accent to a full load of something not-rare, or to haul a full load of several different kinds of rares from different places, if you come up with a route to get them all in one trip.

Obviously, you don't play enough bounty hunting. They will shoot you, even if you are clean as an angel. So, it's not normal!

This is garbage. a wanted person is wanted everywhere. Regardless of factions. I have all sorts of bounties uncollected from all different factions and parties. You would be saying, that a fugitive in Cambridge would actually get defended by the London police, because it's not Cambridge.

People need to stop justifying obvious bugs that everyone notices. No need to make up excuses, otherwise, they'll never get fixed.

No, they're saying that a person wanted by the British police who is in, say, Belize, would not be a legitimate target for the representatives of the British police, and if attacked, may actually be defended by the Belizian police against what is in fact criminal assault if said British police attacked them.

+1 on this one. Same goes for the Galaxy Map trade routes under the view tab. Suffers from the same problem.

It helps if people read the dev posts. Its been acknowledged there is a problem with the demand, and FD are looking into it.

As for npcs in your line of fire, be careful what you shoot at. Im sure in the real world thete is a term for a pilot that doesnt take care at what they are shooting. Situational awareness is required.

As for police going hostile, check your reputation. If the locals are unfriendly to you then you will get attacked even by SA vessels. Probably persona non grata. Especially if you have been killing wanted ships that are friendly with that faction.

Remember, its not good vs evil here. There are many factions and by making friends with one you can become the enemy of another.

Can't really "watch your fire" when they strafe across the front of your ship in under 0.5 seconds, no one has that fast reaction time.

and

Why should i become a wanted criminal for defending myself against hostiles that are attacking me for no reason ? that doesn't make sense at all....

Although it's obviously a bug/oversight, there's a couple of ways to deal with the "but I just shot a WANTED guy... why are the cops shooting me?"

1. Wait for the Wanted guy to come under fire from the cops. It usually happens. Then have a field day.
2. Pretend that the "Wanted" guy is being brought in for questioning as a critical witness to a case. You, being a bounty hunter, don't care either way... recommended only if the wanted target is something you can kill quickly, then flee as fast as you can :)

I guess what it really is: the wanted guy is the same faction as the cops. Instead of properly ignoring this when you open fire, the faction allegiance takes precedence.

1 & 2 is down to factions. If you kill a ship other ships in the same faction will go hostile because their faction didn't issue the bounty and don't care about it. They are retaliating for the death of their buddy. If they don't get wanted for shooting you then that is a bug but the hostility is not. Check factions under Contacts in your left UI.

As long as you have identified as them as being wanted in this system then you shouldn't. And i believe there is a known bug here. However, also be careful about the kill warrant scanner. It tells you if they are wanted anywhere. What you might find is that you are attacking someone who is not wanted in this system, but wanted in another. And i believe that is an intended game mechanic, although it obviously needs some work (better feedback on screen telling you if its ok to attack them). Also, it helps if you do not turn off reporting crimes, because that way they do get flagged as criminal for attacking you. If you turn that off (and this may be a bug as well) then you can viewed as the aggressor, even if the other guy shot first.

So yeah, there are issues here, and i'm fairly sure FD must be aware of them, they must have been ticketed to death. But you can always log your own tickets to keep it in the spotlight. Until such a time, work around it, or live with it.

Ok, as for the cutting across your ship in under 0.5, well, it can happen, but even so, i still think its a case of being aware of the location of other ships and watching your firing. If you were playing in a group and one of your wingmen cut in front of you, and you caused their death, i'm sure the other player would not be happy with your careless firing, just as you would not be happy with their careless flying.

And remember, in this game, you are not the law enforcement. You are just some mercenary scum. Sure, the police might appreciate some help, but if you fail to watch your firing, and hit a police ship, i think its fair to say they may just forget you were trying to help them and apply a bit of police brutality in return :D

While there is obviously a demand/supply switching bug in play with trading, I just want to point out that fairly often, the above is simply explained by the fact that there are multiple stations in a system, they all have their own economies and commodities market, and one of them *is* indeed importing, just not necessarily the one you visited. Visit the System Map and it will often tell you; if not, sometimes you can work it out from their economies, and sometimes, well, you just gotta visit them all.
