My vision of Isla Nublar (incl. map & screenshots)

So this is “Version 1.0” of Isla Nublar how I envisioned it for my own park. I tried to make a park which “looks good”, works reasonably well, and features a lot of interesting dinosaur pairings as well as including some fun references to the Jurassic franchise.

Of course, it contains the “big five” and other dinos I particularly like. Some dinosaurs I have included here because I haven’t discovered / bred them on the other islands yet, thus they are “special” in as far as they are “Nublar exclusives” in my personal island world (I saved Nublar until I finished the Cinco Muertes): Allosaurus, Giganotosaurus, Gigantspinosaurus, Majungasaurus, Mamenchisaurus, Muttaburrasaurus, Suchomimus.

I also tried to preserve as much as possible of the original landscape (especially the bodies of water). Power consumption is set to ON. Also I tried to make the enclosures large enough so the animals can find hiding spots.

I’ll present some of the more interesting enclosures in detail below.

This was built without newer updates or DLCs such as comfort modifications or the new species. I may update it later to incorporate some of the new features and dinos.

Welcome to Jurassic Park!

Brachiosaurus pen
Literally opposite of the park entrance is one of the viewing galleries for the Brachiosaurus pen which also contains herds of Parasaurolophus and other hadrosauria. This is a reference to the JP1 film where these animals are the first ones we see in the movie. An additional viewing platform allows one to observe the Brachiosauria feeding, just like in the corresponding JP1 movie scene. A large pen.

Dilophosaurus pen
On one side of the Brachiosaurus pen is the Dilophosaurus pen (just as it is the first one on the JP1 movie park tour). It is deliberately shadowy, making the animals hard to see, which is also a reference to the JP1 movie.

Triceratops pen
On the other side of the Brachiosaurus pen is the Triperatops pen (which again is one of the first dinosaurs to be seen in the JP1 movie). I decided to give them company by some Ornithopoda.

T-Rex pen
This lies near the visitor center (“innovation center”) as it does in the JW1 movie. It is one of few pens with mainly concrete walls, except for a small steel bar opening. Of course, it also holds the classic goat feeder.

Gallimimus plain
Another large pen which houses a big flock of Gallimimus (just as in the JP1 movie). It is the only pen to hold a gyrosphere attraction. The Gallimimus are given company by an Apatosaurus herd, which is a reference to the JW1 movie where Apatos can also be observed through the gyrosphere.
In this pen, I have deliberately put the Gallimimus feeder in the far north and the water pond in the far south of the pen, actually forcing these dinosaurs to “migrate”, which they often do running which makes it even more interesting to observe them from a gallery or from the gyros.
One of the viewing galleries is actually at the southern fence, on the other side of the pond, making it possible to observe the animals which are drinking on the opposite shore from an attractive angle.

Velociraptor cage
The only “double fenced” pen: an electrified steel bar inner fence surrounded by an electrified concrete wall fence (to which the viewing gallery is connected). For additional security, the ACU center is just nearby. Unfortunately, the visitor center and a hotel are quite nearby as well.

Allosaurus pen
The Allosaurus shares an electrified “steel bar” border with both the Stegosaurus and the Mamenchisaurus pen. Actually, the Allosaurus itself can just be seen from the viewing galleries connected to these neighboring pens if he stands right at the fence.
The Stegosaurus will start to panic if the Allosaurus comes too close to the border. Still, a feeder and water attracts them to go there.
There is actually a large plant feeder inside the Allosaurus pen, just at the Maminchisaurus border. Thanks to their long necks, they can and will actually reach over the fence and eat off the artificial tree, provoking interesting reactions from the Allosaurus, which can all be observed from the Maminchisaurus viewing gallery.

Relaxing at the waterfront.

I’m looking forward to getting a tour of the Isla Nublar of other forum members, too!

With the new features you could put multiple species in one paddock. Like in the first movie they had the Parasaurs in the same area as the Brachiosaurs. This would save on a lot of room and look much nicer.

I would still make separate holding pens for the carnivores though. Also picking only a few Dinosaurs on to have on each version of Nublar would be a good idea.

Look great, but it makes me hope that they can add incl to consoles as some sort of photo mode.
