My wishlist for things in ED that were in frontier\first encounters

We might be a hundred years into the future but in someways ED has stepped back in time.

Here are some thing I would like to see in ED that appeared in previous games.

(1) Military Drives: Yes I know the FSD mechanics have changed the way we hyperspace etc but surely military drives could be added with a small change instead of being faster like before they could have increased ranges say 50% to 100% depending on rating of a normal drive. Would boost exploring.
(2) Crew members: Not only to crew the ships but also some were wanted etc and bounty hunters came after you
(3) Rock Hermits and Dredger ships: This is from the original manual but rock hermits were in game but never seen a dredger ship but supposed to be a big as a city.
(4) Thargoids: Of course
(5) Passenger missions and passenger cabins: No point owning an orca otherwise
(6) NPC faces on station communications: Come on FD, we had nice pictures for our bulletin boards 20 years ago (and on the cd version might have been video)
(7) Some more 'Classic' ships: Krait, Moray, Shuttle, Viper MK I, etc
(8) Escape capsules: Where are they????
(9) Energy Bombs: In 3301 there are no AOE weapons ???

Just some of the things I miss from the older versions I feel should be in ED
 
I know how you feel. I don't even play the game as it just isn't the game I wanted. Maybe it will be but I don't like the online style of the game or the constant "development". I would of been happy with a complete updated version of frontier first encounters. Maybe I will play in solo next year sometime.
 
Definite no to E Bombs. Fine for single player but doesn't work for multi. Faces should come with First Person (why waste time making a face gen until you get to make a PC). The rest will probably come later.
 
Energy Bomb has a lot of griefing potential in Open Play. I'm not entirely sure if ships docked on a pad are invulnerable, but if they aren't, a griefer packing an Energy Bomb could fly into a station and detonate it.
Escape Capsules would've been possible if the Ironman Elite mode from the DDF's was implemented. No automatic escape, all escapes had to be manual. Failure to escape before ship destruction would be permadeath, with the option to revive the character in Normal mode.

Fully agree and would add much more depth into the game... the bulletin board should be completely expanded with NPC characters along with the multiple choice questions and answers. Also I'd like NPC contacts remember you when you return to a station, offer progression missions, trade deals, double cross you, etc.

The developers are ignoring frontier and first encounters and are not willing to even discuss those games. The game is suffering from a serious lack of imagination from the developers.
 
I liked the passenger reactions from Frontier - like when you started bouncing off stuff, or getting in to fights, they'd be like "What the hell man? Lemme off right now!" :)

Photography missions. But expanding, not only just military photography, but paparazzi style photography too! Where the convoys get angry at your aggressive photography and attack you.
