upgrading from a sidewinder to an Adler. wow...sense of scale on the bridge is amazing. and the views when upgrading various slots shows the future of VR.
I seem to have less eye strain now that I dialed the graphics down to low. Its not as easy to navigate by eye sight alone when exploring for planets and the stations basically look like crap but everything else is awesome.
Some of this is due to my personal vision which is not great and rather complicated (doctor wants me to where trifolcals) but its still manageable and better overall from a standard screen.
I play for about 1 hour before I need to take a break which is pretty good, time for me to get a drink, smoke etc.
I think the commerical version of VR is going to nail it. Likely to be 2k per eye.
