Mysterious Stranger tip-offs

Working in a new system, or for a new faction seems to do it for me.
If you camp in one area for a long time, they dry up.

A certain amount of Missions for a specific Faction triggers them.

I've done a few just to see if they changed and found they only gotten worse.
All of mine sent me into an inhabited System and I didn't even need to remember Coordinates on the Planet. I instinctively flew towards the large High Security Installation and indeed the supposed "crash site" always turned out to be a "become a Wanted Criminal and get shot up by a heavily defended HighSec Installation".

At that moment I always abandoned the useless TipOff and since then treat it like Spam Mails again. That always worked best, since they've never been worth the time.

Very nice idea with alot of potential - but sabotaged by horrid implementation.

so, I've checked out a couple of the "leads" - both are crashed small craft. data cores have been worth between 200k and 300k - not really worth the effort. the "valuable cargo" is just minor items... the first site spawning the canisters in inaccessible positions, atop rubble that the SRV wouldn't climb.

will probably not bother with the other 3 tip-offs

Been getting tip off messages after completing planetary assault and hacking missions, around one every three or four missions done. Not sure if I should bother with them.

I've had a few in the last few days. Most went to trash but one i've kept to check out because
it's planetary co-ordinates and i like the challenge. It's obviously a trap of some sort but it's some kind of gameplay.

just scan the planet with probes - you don't need to use the co-ordinates... at least I didn't, not for the 2 crash sites I've looked at this week
