Myth Broken.. Traders are no longer defenceless: T7 beats a Cutter

In what can only be described as a world first, my good friend Nitek, leader of NaCl makes a demonstration for the Git Gud school and debunks the myth that traders are defenceless.

Watch in awe as a T7 destroys a Cutter (arguably the strongest ship in the entire game).. The fight took 14 minutes but has been trimmed for your viewing pleasure.

At this point we argue that that trading ships are far from defenceless and these things do indeed come down to skill, and its a skill that can be aquired.

On a personal level my jaw is still on the floor. This has to go down as one of the most amazing kills ever.

Cmdr DjiGit will never live this down, will he.

Trade ships have never been defenseless. No idea what that guy in the Cutter was doing, it's so bad that it looks staged tbh. That T7 wouldn't have lasted 60 seconds against someone who knew what they were doing.

There are a lot of CMDRs in a lot of ships looking to do combat that don't have the combat experience to explain their ship trajectory or current fleet. Which is the long-winded way to say Ceos, Sothis, Robigo and Draconis millionaires.

Not staged.

Would you consider that Cutter cmdr to be any good? The guy was awful, truly terrible. Apologies if he's a mate of yours, you should tell him to get back to basics and start flying a Viper again.

That vid is a classic example of fast tracking to a Cutter.

Well....that's one seriously beaten cutter, can only say that cmdr really didn't know how to use his ship. As mentioned by 777Driver he shouldn't have never lost that fight, must be a complete rookie to lose, if I was him I would be playing in solo from now on.

Lol

This expert cmdr with Cutter has skill level at garbage tier... Would not suprise to see a sidey to pull stunt like kill this CMDR in very same cutter.

Dang! I sure would like to see the builds of both those ships. It also makes me wonder what was going through the Cutter commanders mind?

I was impressed that the Commander stayed. Very good to see.

Trade ships aren't defenceless, they just aren't made for combat (generally) doesn't mean they can't do it, but generally they aren't combat ships, and are more build towards getting away, but the video really just shows an inexperienced cutter pilot vs experienced t7 pilot.

Still good flying, but even so, doesn't "say" much about the "myth"

The video is great and I love that Nitek is doing it, but you're sortof undermining your own argument here... "look at this, T7s are not defenseless" and then "OMG did you see that? that was amazing!"

Im in awe that he beat the Cutter.. Im not in awe that trade ships can be robust, its been well understood by many who play the game, and rather than accept this, we get ill informed assertions that traders are somehow lemons that can't with stand an attack.

The t7 destroying a Cutter is exceptional because the Cutter is the strongest ship in the game.. If Nitek can stand and fight for nay on 15 minutes and eventually beat that ship it stands to reason a trade ship can run the gauntlet where required and reach its destination.

Nevertheless, there seems to be a reluctance to accept the facts of the matter, and dare I say a reluctance within the forum community to understand that there are many things a pilot can do to avoid destruction. I say I've never been 'griefed' in game and there is a reason for this, its not accidental.

As ever the Git Gud school is open to all. A warm and friendly environment to learn from some of the best players in game. You decide..

What the hell is that cutter doing?

Props to CMDR for not logging. Even if he is bad , he's a good sport!

Im pretty sure that someone who doesnt know how to shut off modules incase of Powerplant failure, (or cant kill a T7 with a fully upgraded Cutter.... ) doesnt know about the logoffski maneuver.

Anyways, well played Nitek. I think i saw you today at Jamesons.

And your evidence for this? Logoffski? You mean combat logging by the menu right? The guy obviously doesn't like to cheat, and to his credit ;)

For the love of God, its a t7 vs a cutter.. [rolleyes]
