It's a long story.

Suffice to say, "cute little unicorns" are more to me than "cute little unicorns". I confess, I get a little angsty when people just go "unicorns are cool." I'll leave it at this: I'm a worshipper.

Sorry, I got way too defensive. Understand that I'm pagan. I've been following and reading lore on unicorns for a long time, my entire life actually. It's more than just a passing interest for me; it is my life.

I have a fascination in such things so I think it would be interesting. I am a big fantasy reader. An elephant is surely as sacred as a unicorn? Amazing creatures.

This is why I think it wouldn't belong on the base game, but I would like a game like this with these creatures 😀.

Yeah.... I'd rather have them not make the DLC in the first place and save time on other things. I really don't see the use of "mythical creatures" in a zoo game.

It's the same with extinct animals. Those will fit better in JWE IMO.

I have trust in Frontier that they will stick to the true nature of things and realism, just like with Planco.

The only dragon I can think of that earns a place in my zoo is a Komodo Dragon.

IF they do so, please make these kind of DLC's (extinct, mythical, etc.) at the very end of Planet Zoo's lifecycle, when all other ideas have been done.

The problem is, noone is ever going to create mythical zoo tycoon on its own. So it makes sense to stick it as a dlc down the line. If desired by some. There's been talk of dragons in the jwe forum even. I'm not saying put dragons in over elephants.

Perhaps it could be a good idea for you to learn how to create games in UE4 and then make your own mythical zoo sim game....who knows some people might like it and it might turn popular.

Not my first thought when thinking about a Zoo game, but for some (very) future DLC... why not.

The most important fun fact about it:
A lot of mythical creatures are able to fly. So they would have to come up with incredible big aviarys or some other game mechanics to keep them in a somehow realistic and acceptable enclosure. :love:

Maybe as a mod or something but I wouldn’t really want it as a dlc (unless maybe in 10 years when they’ve run out of ideas) I’d prefer if the developers keep focussing on real life animals and have them be as lifelike as possible.

Only as user-created, based on other animals to make things easier (like a reskin of a zebra), otherwise no, just no... The only one of these I'd consider being ok to include are hybrid animals (griffon) like you'd have to breed those two animals - yea good luck with mating big cat and an eagle, that would be interesting. Or we could stick to realistic hybrids like lions + pretty much any big cat, Zebroids, Grolar bears etc.
Anyway... the animals should be realistic or at least a challenge and fun to get, I don't care if they add a few extinct animals either - they existed once. I don't want dinosaurs, but those are far from the only extinct animals on this earth. I'd be very happy if they included the newly extinct animals (in the past 100 years for instance).
