Nanomam farce

Yesterday Movement for Nanomam Future was at 62% and was being pushed hard to go higher into Civil War state so we could start the process of flipping to Federation.

Today that faction is at 9.3%.

This has been going on since Powerplay started. Bug reports have been filed. When will FD comment on this issue, and let us know that it IS a problem and that they ARE looking into it?

And it's not just an issue with Nanomam ... scanning the forums you'll see this problem of wonky influence results is happening all over.

It would be really, really nice to get an official response on this to set some minds at ease. This is exactly the kind of thing that will make people throw their hands up in the air and move onto another game. Nobody wants to spend their time doing something only to find out that it's been broken all along.

Agreed. A reply would be basic courtesy. I suspect the only reason for silence is that it isn't a bug, and FD doesn't know how to admit to pulling strings, without revealing why, when they want to keep the reasoning a secret.

I've also had issues with the Background Sim restarting my faction's influence.

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the new missions they've put in since 1.3. I can pretty much choose which faction has the highest influence by choosing one faction to turn in mining missions. The day before I wanted as much money as I could make so I turned in every mining mission at my station. Yesterday, the faction I side with started at 36%, I only needed a bit more CR to make a personal goal so I only did mining missions for that faction. Today it's at 92%.

Even just a "There is a reason." response would be good, heck if anything it would be good for the community. Speculation train HO!

But it is most likely the BGS being broken.
