I suppose we are like fish out of water in zero gravity, too long is space we would end up looking like E.T. or one of those really skinny aliens.

I assume because the elite stations spin to create gravity there is no gravity in any of the ships?

I like stuff that makes me think, +1 rep. :)
 
Indeed there isnt, as stated by David Braben in one of the Dev Videos on Youtube. There is no artificial gravity by technical devices other than the pure physical acceleration method in the Elite universe.

Well, in a ship you could always put it on autopilot and tell it to fly a loop while going to the toilet. That'd solve the 'gravity' issue.
