Nope. Little more than a publicity stunt.

...NASA didn't fund the rover...it was bankrolled by a private company involved in the project.

It's more like a ME:A's Nomad rather than our SRVs.

And they need to make the rear wheels steerable as well. The turning radius seems a bit rubbish.
