Nasty Bug - Watch out - Missing ships

Heads up and I have ticketed this.

I had a 20m+ Asp and bought a Type 6 in Heheng and put the Asp into storage.

About 20 mins later I noticed the Asp wasn't stored in Heheng, but in Fletchi.

Worst still my total assets were down by 20m+ credits.

Of course when I go to Fletchti the ship isn't at any of the stations, and the station it is suppose to be at has no shipyard.

So currently I am missing 20m+ ship / assets.

Hopefully FD support will sort this for me.

Have you done a save&exit then come back online ?
Been there too with a cobra that didn't want to stay where I switched ships but then a a bit later it was back in the correct station without me submitting a ticket or doing anything but relogging.
Not that I did that to get the ship back in the correct place just logging off when done for the session and then on again next session.
Hope it's that easy for you too.

Ok exiting out of ED and logging back in put the ship back to Heheng and all was restored.

Noticed though a bug in the assets screen though. I doesn't add the assets for stored ships.

Thanks, that was worrying, weeks worth of effort and I thought I had lost it.

Well you certainly posted maturely for thinking you had just lost a week's play. Glad it worked out.

I will add this to my thread "How to lose your ship". From experience you can't swear here, just as you need as much experience in the game!
I repeat: "We need an auto save feature for system crashes and bugs" - else swearing is expected to ease the stress!

I noticed the same thing when I bought a type 6 and put my Cobra in storage at Sol. It listed my Cobra as 66ly away. However, logging out to the main menu, then logging back in corrected the issue for me.

I've seen this as well; the ship is stored where you put it originally, and can be switched back to easily enough - the game just reports it as being somewhere else until a save and exit is done...
In my case it switched the reported location to a system 160ly away where I had an active mission.

The loss of total assests happens every time you put a ship in storage - the ship and upgrades you have stored don't seem to count towards your total. Sell the little run around you just bought and switch back to your original ship - assets back.

I've seen this happen - when you buy and store a ship, the galaxy map strangely puts your stored ship one system away if you look right away without moving station. However it isn't where the galaxy map says it is, but right there "under your feet" as you'd expect. Seems unique to buying a new ship and storing, I think anyway, I don't think it happens when just changing ship.
