Horizons Nav Beacon 3.1k Ly from Sol

Hi Cmders It is a wreckage of a nav beacon on a simple planet, in a simple system...

~1k Ly below the maain galaxy plane in an AUCOPP system

What does it do here where there's no sign of civilisation since a long distance ? a little less than 100 jumps 38Ly average ??

I did scan it and got nothing to read or no data

Any idea ?

1. You have found a secret off site data storage for a criminal group that crashed before it could be used.
or
2. You have found the remains of an Imperial probe that was sent out to track down the location of the secret ice world base of a group of rebel scum. Happy end to that story is that the rebellion ended once the rebel leader had his hand cut off and was thrown down the well of a space station by a hero of the Empire.

I clearly don't know there was no intel at all but, there was a second scanable item close from it, but i left the planet instead. That planet is Aucopp JZ-M c8-3 1. 10,78 ls from the main star.

Later after my take off i regretted not to have gone to scan that other scanable non-material item :/

Because I realized it could lead to some of the mysteries of Elite Dangerous... dunno.

Now i am too far away, probably on my way back from colonia to da bubble :)

It was a POI so it will not be there if you go back. It will now haunt your dreams... Man i love ED! You had a moment that no one else will ever have...
I envy you sense of wonder out in the black as you explore... I on the other hand have a growing faction to manage.
