Nav Beacon Bug! When Safe Disengaging.... it flys off at super speed!

I think I'm experiencing a bug, I've tried closing the game and logging out to fix it but no luck.

It's happening specifically at the Chowei System Nav Beacon. I'm in the middle of a "kill pirates mission" and when I travel to the Nav Beacon and safely disengage... I'll drop in a couple of km away from the beacon and I'll see contacts on my sensors. After about a second... boom everything disappears. My ships speed is showing 0 but the beacon I have targeted is flying away from me and all my contacts on sensors disappear. It's like I am flying backwards in a very slow super-cruise with the nav beacon still in front of me.

It's happened consistently 4x now and I can't get it to stop. I can safely drop at Ports and USS's. Haven't tested flying to another system and trying it at another Nav Beacon.


Anyone else experienced this before?

Yes, the nav beacon has been doing this since way back in beta. I don't know why it's doing this (maybe some of the older players can share a thought) but I always assumed that you are not seeing the actual nav beacon, but a nav beacon to the nav beacon (if that makes any sense), meaning a virtual marker pointing towards the actual nav beacon.

This being said, I have also noticed mines and missiles misbehave from time to time, teleporting from behind me to a position in front of me, without me changing course, so now I'm starting wondering if these are somewhat related to how instances are built.

Yes I've seen it happen. Incidently, the famous I Bootis Federal Fleet USS is still there and it still flies off at light-speed when you drop in.

Exact same thing happened to me last night at Chowei as well. I know its happened at 1 or 2 other nav points as well in other systems but I don't remember where.

I thought I was crazy. I restarted the game 4+ times and even rebooted my PC.

Chowei nav beacon was fine for me until I bought a ship at Swigert Port.

Now whenever I drop into this beacon, I see it for just a second and then I am "thrown" away from the beacon.

I can get into the port and other USSs just fine, but the beacon? Now I can't enter it at all.
