Nav beacon missing from system

If you fly away from the star the Nav Beacon does not show .... there's a fixed radius beyond which it will not be found (I can't remember the distance at present).

If you jump to the system from hyperspace, you are always within that radius and, if it exists, it will show up on your Nav panel. Otherwises, it's gone and should be reported.

Are there any places to land at in the system (starports, space stations, planetary outposts, etc)? If not,t hen it's an "uninhabited" system and it should not have a nav beacon. If it does, then it should have a nav beacon.

nav beacon and extraction sites have only ever been known to vanish from a major update and when that happens if you notify fdev in time they can restore it.
As we have had no such update in quite some time it is likely just a bug.
If quitting the game and coming back does not fix it and you have no filters on I suggest you let fdev know.
You could also tell us the system and others could verify as well
