Nav beacons

Since the drums are beating loud nowadays to make just about everything in ED a much more challenging endeavor, I vote that we
make all cargo carrying ships register their goods at the local Nav beacon before they are deliverable for payment. (doesn't include illegal goods though)

And why not, truckers IRL that have the support of system laws and authorities have to still channel through the interstate and toll fare weigh stations where they pay a fee. But in ED your payment is in the form
of being vulnerable to ED long forgotten pirates.

If Bounty Hunters are going to play hide and seek with ships and have to deal with NPC OP combat loadouts, the result will be a drop in revenue as we know that rewards will not be raised and if they are it wont be for long. Once a game is has been infected by the nerf meme, always infected.

So lets balance the love of the challenge shall we?

So, at least in my imaginary ED realm, unless you traders want to carry all that cargo for nothing as it wont be recognizable to buyers (kinda like those hostages in 1.5) until you perform a scan at your not so friendly local Nav beacon, see you at the beacon...try not to end up as bacon though.

I submit to scans on every run, if I don't want to be scanned I run silent. Works fine for me.

What's the big deal about Nav beacons anyway? I drop into them to get a scan of certain systems in 2.1, my freighters are equipped to handle open.

If everyone knew all cargo carriers had to stop there it would indeed be a very very big deal. But since you are experiencing 2.1 directly and are still easily handling the OP NPCs...well thats a good sign.
