NAV points Internal Security bug

Has anyone else noticed this? When being EXTRA careful not to hit "Clean" ships and ensuring that you only attack "Wanted" ships that on the occasion the Internal Security ships will agro you and attack you? Also, it seems that other ships of the same faction are highlighted as RED as if they are now hostile to you.

This is really the first time i've been to NAV points since Gamma 1.04, but they are LOADS of fun if you are careful.

I used to have the same problem. I believe that you must use a Kill Warrant Scanner and scan the WANTED ships before attacking them. This works most of the time for me and hardly have Internal Security Ships attacking me now. As you play the game you will end up gaining reputation with factions and when you kill enough of one factions ships they will end up turning RED. This does not mean they will outright attack you but they are more likely too.

Have seen this also.

Many times I have been picking off wanteds and avoided hitting anything else, including security. Not wanted myself and bang a security ship starts shooting me.

I have tried flying away out of scope and then coming back, but it makes no difference. Its only one ship that does it, other security ships ignore me.

Only thing to do is leave the nav point and return.

Edit, and I do use the kws scanner on all targets before I engage.

They fixed the loss of faction on WANTED ships a while ago, this no longer happens... I can understand the use of the K Warrant scanner in Anarchy systems, but Im talking about NAV points in Empire space as an example where the standard ID scan is enough to reveal them as wanted...

The KWS does nothing to give you the OK to shoot them in a system with any laws. It simply says whether the have a bounty in other jurisdictions. If a ship is wanted in civilized space, check it's faction under contacts. Even if a ship is wanted, their clean faction mates don't appreciate you shooting them. It all comes down to factions. The devs made it better so you don't lose reputation for killing bounties, but you can still upset a faction into aggroing you if you shoot their friends. Usually I just go into SC and then back to the RES or Nav beacon and the aggro is gone.

you just have to not shoot wanted ships of the same faction as the authority vessels.. problem solved
