Navagation = The ability to save a route (both ways)

I would like to make the suggestion that you add the ability to save between two to five systems that you can cycle between when creating routes. If you had the ability to save five systems, and when you want to go to one of these systems you click on a drop-down menus, select the system, and it takes you to that system icon so you can click on 'create route'. Not that I don't like to stop and type out the really odd names some of these systems have - but when you are doing some serious trading (so you can buy the cool stuff) the stopping to type gets OLD after about the 10th trip.

just a suggestion.

My current workaround for this is VoiceAttack. I created several macros that open the galaxy map, click the text field, type the destination system name, and click the 'go' button. I then manually select to plot the route and exit the map, all while the xbone controller is in hand - no kb+mouse.

Wretch, I tried your suggestion - and I was able to get part of what you described to work.

I would be interested in the commands you use to make that happen. This seems like it could work.

Yeah I agree with that, that's why I wrote the app in my sig, so when I do a trade route I can load routes into it and then use it as an in game overlay. It's not quite the same as built in to the game but it works.

It copies the current selected item for easy copying in the galaxy map.

Anyways, I do agree with your proposal.

It would also be nice to export routes taken. Call it "route recorder" or something.

Implement it as a basic "save route" "load route" "save trip" capability. Indeed, saved trip would just be the current route plus a flag to indicate if the location was visitted. That way players could share routes or process them outside the game and load/edit them.

Agree with that too..I put that in my app too, but of course it's all manual doesn't save from game, so definitely would be nice feature in game.

Do you actually realize what we are forced to do to fill in design gaps? I am astonished. We are asking for this since release date at least.
