How can major faction standing decline from completing a Naval ascension mission??
Took the Naval ascension mission in some backwater system that happened to be close to my combat ship, which doesn't exactly have the best jump range.
Upon turning it in, I got one reputation gain, with the faction of the station I took it from, and a reputation loss from the Empire Assembly, which also resulted in a red down arrow next to my Empire faction standing.
This seems to be slightly backwards...
I killed no targets that my KWS didn't scan as "wanted". I was asked to kill 3 pirates, I made 3 kills only, all counted towards the mission. So I obviously didn't 'accidentally' shoot some guy from the Empire Assembly along the way.
Is this a bug or some intended 'elite' game mechanic that you go up in rank and your standing goes down?
