Naval Progression algorithm?

I am about to rank up to Baron after having grinded for a looooong time.
I understand that as you progress up the ladder, you rank up slower and slower.
Is there some sort of indication of what the difference speed in ranking is?
For example, does it get 30% slower after Viscount compared to getting to Baron?
I am contemplating trying to rank to Duke and would appreciate your experience in reaching that rank even if you don't have a specific percentage. Just telling me from your experience that it gets much harder or is about the same etc.. would do! Thanks.

Thanks, interesting. I have been doing destroy skimmer missions and data delivery at the Guathiti system. I am tiered and not sure I'll have to courage to rank up to Duke if the progression is much slower after Baron.

I read somewhere that to complete each rank requires roughly twice as many completed missions as the previous rank.

I wrote that a long time ago.

With each rank, you work out the number of points it took you between the last one and the new one, then double it, for the next one. It is not exact but close.

It's not even close as my experience from the linked thread shows.
Each run I did at Earl I got a 7% increase, at Marquis it was 5% for the same. More missions per rank, sure but nowhere near double.

Just finished grinding for Rear Admiral a couple of weeks ago. At the rank just BEFORE Rear Admiral (Corvette), I was making about 12% per 40 data delivery missions (1 hop between systems = 20 each way). I could do a complete loop at Niu Hsing <-> Col285YF-M c8-8 in about 20-25 minutes. All said and done I was making about 25% Rank/hr at the Rank Just before Rear Admiral. So that's worst case that counts...
