Newcomer / Intro Naval Progression Question

Hi,

I need a little help with one aspect of the game. I have been doing some missions for groups whose allegiance is with the Federation and Naval Progression missions too. All seems great and I'm now a Warrant Officer.

Occasionally, no rarely, but it has just happened again just now... I just achieved my new ranking and on the Bulletin Board there's a "mission" from the Federation. It is not a naval progression mission nor any other kind. It tells me to go to a named system where someone will meet/contact me.

Once I accept (and this has happened every time before) this task does not appear in my Transactions tab, if I hadn't of remembered the name of the system I would not have been able to double check (I may be mistaken?).

Anyway, I have arrived at said system and I'm unsure what to do. Nothing different on the Bulletin Board and nothing in the Contacts.

Can anyone shed any light here please? :S

Hi, it's a known "bug." You just got a permit for said system. That's about it. No contact will be made and it does not affect you in any way except giving you a permit.

Yes, this is a known bug, it happens with progression through the Imperial Navy as well. You just ignore it and plod on doing missions to raise your reputation with the local groups and you will get more progression missions.

you must increase reputatin rank for federation,if you want next mission, best if you are alied, this work good for me and im Baron in empire and ensing in federation

I've actually fallen for it, more than once, and I read the Boards here daily and know it's a "no action required" bug ... go figure

The other annoying thing is that the request to visit said System takes ages to go away.... notice that Ryan ???

I follow the progression to the systems it gives me the passes for. More to have somewhere to go than anything else. Now I'm in Exbeur hunting in the RES. Some high tech stations in the neighbouring systems too

I do something similar... when I get my system pass I treat that as the game telling me it is time to "move on" and build reputation in the newly opened system. Once I get all the Federation factions "allied" in that system I move along again.
