Newcomer / Intro Navigation Pane - Symbol meaning?

Hi All, probably a stupid question but google seraches have come up blank.

What does the small bookmark like icon mean on the Navigation Pane? I had seen this with Engineers, after unlock, until now. But it's appeared for the first time (or i've noticed it for the first time) on a Conflict Zone.

I'm stumped what it actually means.

I suppose it is because it is co-located with the planet you have bookmarked (the Dav's Hope planet) - just as Dav's Hope has the same icon (you cannot bookmark Dav's Hope itself).

Ah that would make sense. Because the Engineers are sort of automatically bookmarked. So it's really just showing the bookmarks. I think I made the wrong assumption, I thought is was "Story Significant" or something.
