Navigation Panel: Player carrier visibility

I think that player carrier the commander owns (i.e. your own carrier) should either:

  • Be always visible in the navigation panel.
  • Should have its own entry in filter list. I.e. in addition to "Fleet Carriers" there should be "Your carrier".

Reasoning:

This would simplify load/unload operations, because you'll be able to reduce clutter, and target your carrier without scrolling through 140 entries you don't need.

Something similar could be implemented for other people's carriers, too. Perhaps... carrier could be "favorited", "favorite carriers" would get separate entry, and limit display only to the carriers on the list.

Agreed with OP, player carrier and possibly future squadron carrier should get their own tab or there should be a filter that would always enable those, much like Nav Beacon or Construction Sites are always visible (I think).

OR

Currently targetted POI never disappears from list, whatever it is, no matter the filters.

OR both.

Consider situation:
You can only turn Supercruise Assist from nav panel. You target your carrier using galmap bookmark or system map when plotting route, you arrive at the destination system and you see tens of carriers cluttering nav panel. You move down the list while your ship flies towards your target, then relative distance of some bodies changes, causing sudden change of display order of carriers on the nav panel. Your own carrier might still be further down on the list from your current cursor position, but it might as well be already up, while you still scroll down. Good luck turning SC assist on.

In above situation, when currently targetted POI would not disappear from the list even when its category is filtered out, it would make turning SC assist on much faster. Same with a filter on owned or bookmarked POIs.
