(Nearly) death by overheating when jumping into a system

I understood that Sandy Sammarco had fixed "death by overheating" on exit from hyperspace into a binary system. But I very nearly got fried just now after existing an inter-system jump into a system, ending up between two stars 4 LS apart, and scooping from the star behind me.

All I could do was accelerate towards the main star and hope for the best. Temperature went above 150%, but thankfully I managed to get clear, and no modules died:

It was a bit of a shock!

Has anyone else experienced near-death experiences since the patch that made them less likely?

Yeah, they messed something up in 2.3 and it haven't been reverted yet. Now we can arrive well inside a binary star, worse than we had before the original fix in 2.2, which is making for some really hot escapes. It's happened to me a handful times. Most of the time I fly around in an Anaconda so heat damage isn't much of an issue, but I can imagine explorers in a Dolphin could get into some serious trouble if they're unlucky. I didn't bother bug reporting it during 2.3 as I figured it was obvious the arrivals weren't working right. Maybe someone should do it? One day... :)

I've luckily not experienced overheating as of yet, but yes, I've come out of the jump to some very close binary stars. Other times, I'll come out of the jump with binary stars that aren't close together at all. Just bring your heat sinks and fly safe.

I've jumped into the exclusion zone of a black hole once. A bit scary. Everything was all wibbly-wobbly and I was taking damage. Was coming back from Sag A* with a lot of data at the time.
