Horizons Need a good Build for doing Cargo Delivery on My Type 10 Defender

Hi CMDRs'

Just need to know whats a good Build for the Community goals for cargo Delivery in my Type 10 Defender. Um Had a type 9 but a friend and a CMDR said that the type 10 Defender would be better.......He found this

I know I need a 6A Prismatic Shied Generator and to get that I need to Pledge to the Princess and the CMDR said when I have enough money I can get a few different types of the Prismatic Shied Generator's.... But that will take a lot of time to accumulate that many... So I'm not to sure which way to go.

I had to sell my Python which was done out really well and I also had a Asp Explorer and that too was awesome but I sold it and now I only have the Type 10 and a Dolphin which is for Passengers Only. The Type 10 that I have um the shields are in the red and I'm not to sure whats up. So I cant leave the station were I got it from atm .....This is my Build.

you have no shields, only a shield-cell

you need a shield generator

cells are only used to reload it

Chaff on a type 10 is like putting a Ghillie suit on the Empire State building.

Give me a budget and whether you fly in Open, and I'll give you a loadout.

If you're in the beta (since ou linked the coriolis beta) and only want to deliver cargo, not combat, I'd suggest the Type-9 instead. In the beta, you get two class 8 compartments for cargo and a class 7 for your shields. The rest is up to you.

Of course, it does fly like a dead badger.

Had another look at that build you linked.... that pig won't fly. You got a jump range of less than 5 ly loaded. If you switched out the engineered 7A FSD from the original build in order to save money, the only thing for you to do is get a smaller ship.

Hey Nettie, I have owned a Type 9, and now own a Type 10. You need so much more money to out fit it. Mine is a combat build but cost me 460 million with discounts.
Looks like you made the jump to soon if you sold every thing and still cannot afford shields or a good jump range. You might want to sell it, ( you only lose 10%), and rebuy your python, then wait a couple of weeks for the beta to hit, then buy the T-9 with the extra 8 slot.
Always work out your build first, then save up, then buy.
Also please tell us that you can still afford the rebuy! Mine is 25 million!

Will defiantly wait and get my python back ....um the thing too is that even though I needed to get a shied generator as I hadn't got one on my Type 10 um it said it had exceed mass so I still couldn't get one if I tried so the build that I got would not work ..... But you are my friend as contact anyways too so when I do get enough money I might think about getting the Type 10 Beta and ask you then what would be a good build for it .....Thanks heaps CMDR Marcus really appreciate it ..Fly Safe CMDR

All good, but as Stitch said, we need a budget, how much do you have and we can make a build for you.
The Type 9 is changing in the beta, not the Type 10 as you wrote.
Just keep asking questions and we will keep helping!

Thanks StiTch .......I Got my Type 9 And I saved the laodout on some paper.... So I was able to buy it and get most of the stuff back ..... But um i want to bye my Python and asp Explorer back atm I have 170Mil I think but I never saved the loadout from them Um if you could help me with a good loadout for the Python and and the Asp I would very much be appreciative .... anyways CMDR see you around in the Black..Thank Heaps [big grin]

Cool Nettie, new questions now.
1. Do you fly in open? ( so the loadout can protect you from player pirates)
2. What do you use the python for? Bounty hunting?
3. What do you use the asp for? Exploring?

I had a t-10 for awhile before selling it for my Cutter. It worked great as a "CARGO DEFENDER". used a shield gen, fighter bay, torrented weaponds (beam, multi cannon combo classic), Used hull reinforcements for the military slots. The rest cargo racks and it worked awesome. The reason for the torrented weapons was because of the weak maneuverability. Had point defense and shield boosters for utilitys.
