Need a little help, Voice attack and Docking Config

Hiya,

So, I've recently picked up voice attack with the ED addon. It's great! But I haven't settled into it fully yet.

I'd really like to find a config or bind for docking computers...

Does anyone have any advice on how to record one, or why the one I have recorded doesn't work.

I have an X52 Pro, as I know that will make a difference...

I want to answer this more fully but it's the middle of the night where I am and I'm going to bed, but...

Voice Attack presses keyboard buttons for you in the order you specify, and for the time you specify. If your macro isn't working it may be that you aren't pressing the buttons for long enough, or not having a long enough pause between button presses. It took me a few goes before I had my docking macro pressing buttons for the right time etc.

Have you done sufficient speech training on your computer for it to correctly recognise your voice and accent?

Start small, work up. Get VA to do stuff like deploy landing gear and switch your lights on/off, get a feel for how it works and go from there. I went this route and figured out the 'request docking' macro within a few hours. You will find more fulfillment figuring this out for yourself than by getting it any other way, and it will leave you better prepared for tackling other VA problems you may encounter later.

When you do succeed in getting this and other macros set up, also set up commands to reset VA. I use 'stop listening' and 'start listening' to do this - reason? VA will sometimes forget how to listen and will need a nudge (much like my wife, it seems).
