Need a mediterranean/coastal biome

I believe JWE2 has one such starting map. It would be next to ocean and be really moderate in temperature, neither too hot nor too cold and with very little rain and lots of sunshine.

I actually believe this is the best sort of climate/biome for real life zoos as it allows the greatest number of species to live in comfort. But it's missing in PZ. All the maps are strictly continental and inland which is strange.

I totally agree, but unfortunately I think it is too late to see a change in the game biomes

The biomes in the game are perfect already. The more specific you get with “Mediterranean” the more other stuff you’d be forced to add: Cloud Forest, Cerrado, Alpine, etc.

If you want an island map you can use the one from either the Japan or last Career mission, or make one using the diorama mode.

Not much of the animals of Mediterranean, which was North African and Southern Europe, I would want and accept Planet Zoo to have but loggerhead turtle would do.

I’d prefer just to have user defined climate (temp range and weather chance) - otherwise I’m happy enough with the biomes. Grassland mostly works for Mediterranean climates. Don’t see why a Mediterranean climate would be need a coastal map more than any other biome (which isn’t to say it wouldn’t be nice - I just don’t see a specific link) - coasts exist in all the biome categories in the game.

Medityeranisn climate / biome isn’t the same as The Mediterranean… Regions in North America, South America, South Africa and Australia all have Mediterranean climates.
