Ships Need a Shuttle : DDB Scout or Cobra ?

Hi.
I am trying to build a low cost but effective "armored shuttle" ...
What I need ?
Speed, long range jump, some weaponery.
It's mainly to make long range travels to retrieve Alliance and Empire bounties...
Buf since I am a Federal ... it's allways risky

I managed to get 19 AL jump range with both ships with a D rated configuration mainly.
DDB as 2 more utilities, Cobra has more Internals ...

Need some advices

I use adder as a shuttle when i want to move my ships, collect far away bounties or do some trade missions.

It's cheap (600k credits with an A grade FSD) and it can jump around 30Ly when you put D class modules on it.

Adder... and if you got interdicted... you can still run ?

The Adder is too slow to escape from most fighters and pirate ships.

Well, you can't expect a Ferrari for a 30k can't you? wanna faster ship, buy a clipper for shuttling

The cobra is a much better shuttle than the DBS. Its faster, safer, and cheaper.

If I can outrun virtually anything in a maxed T6 with submit, boost & barrel roll & jump, I' am sure you can do it in an adder.

So ... does the DDB Scout have any interest in the game ?
The more I read, the more I am convinced Cobra is better...

It's basically an upgraded Viper with better range. It doesn't really merit being more expensive than a Cobra, in my opinion, but I like messing around in it none the less. OK, maybe a little less, but I still like messing around in it.

It should be pretty good at interdicting slower and weaker targets (haven't tried myself) and... getting around inhabited space pretty well.

On my way back from a short exploration jaunt in the DbS, as soon as the servers start working again, that is.

I go with an A rated DBS for all my Shuttle/Power Play needs. Without the occasional cargo slots, I get 25ly (23.7ly with 12 cargo), with boost speeds at almost 450. Her heat management is also a lot better than the Cobra's, faster jumping time after scoops.

if you want to fight more often than the rest, but still be able to do everything, take the scout (more agility/acceleration/shield)

if you want to have more cargo, take the Cobra (more cargo/a little faster)

between the two i would take the scout any day, even for smuggling
