Need ability to telepresence into other ships you own from outside the bubble

Scenario :
Player has traveled tens of thousands of light years from the bubble and jump fatigue has set in. Player eventually gets tired of traveling and with no other options besides the occasional multicrew session to break the monotony , the player considers quitting the game.

Solution :

Player can 1) quit, 2) buy another copy of ED to get another account to play or 3) find something to do in game to recover from the "jump fatigue". The 3rd option is where telepresence comes in

Implementation :
Given that it has been established that telepresence is without range limitations, and that multi crew are holograms it makes sense in ED lore that a pilot could fly a ship via remote from great distances. So, a pilot(player) out in the middle of nowhere could fly another ship that they own stored at a faraway station to add a little variety to their long range exploration. From a practicality perspective, you'd need to put some limits on this to prevent exploitation.

  1. You cannot leave the system your other ship is stored in. (The lore explanation could be that telepresence doesn't work in witch space)
  2. You cannot remotely control your other ships unless you're "x" lightyears from the selected ship. (I would argue 400lys, or the radius of the "bubble")
  3. You cannot turn in astrometric data from the remotely controlled ship

Right now, the only solution to what I call "jump fatigue" is to buy another account (which most won't do) or self destruct to respawn in a starter system. Neither are good options, and a game mechanic like telepresence would be a good way to retain players that feel like their character is stranded out in the middle of nowhere.

I obviously don't know the tech challenges around this feature, but I think it'd be a neat one to have. Thoughts?

...Join a multicrew ship!

I get that jump fatigue can set in, I've been to Sagittarius A* and back. :p

But that is literally the main point of multicrew. Get bored? Join someone for some pew pews. Then continue on your merry way.
