Any chance your opponent also reads the forums? So in my group of players I am pretty well known as the guy to go talk to about engineering questions and loadouts for pve. In PvP my experience is limited to fending off the occasional gank attempt.
Now we have a new guy that wants to challenge me to some 1v1 in his Conda. So far he has beaten everyone I know and I'd like to take him down a peg or two.
I play on xb1 so I think I am better off bringing another big ship to meet him. I don't have the precision movement of a HOTAS that a small manueverable ship would benefit from the most.
So that leaves me with Cutter or Corvette. I am leaning more towards the cutter but either works.
Can I get some advice on loadouts and tactics please? I have not paid attention to what the pvp meta is in ages.
My thoughts so far
C4 fixed focused pulse - phasing
2x C3 fixed focused pulse - phasing
4x C2 gimballed ammo cap frags - 2x screening, 2x drag
Is this good? or Scrap it and do something else?
I'm running prismatics and 8 boosters but should I equip a few heat sinks? Two? Three?
Help me beat this guy please!! He doesn't need to inflate his ego any higher by winning against his final opponent in our player group.
