Need an ETA clock on Galnet and Powers screens

The Galnet and Powers screens are great, and give us something to do during long trips.

The problem is, we're BLIND while reading it.

A simple fix would be to introduce an ETA clock in the top left corner of the screen while in these screens, showing the same basic information for whatever object we have targeted: Name, distance in LS, and ETA countdown.

This would let people look over stuff and not worry as much about overshooting their target. (I say as much because it happens anyway - ideally the ETA should flash when you reach 10 seconds)

Excellent idea. Obvious, yet novel. It would make best sense, I feel, as an overlay that pops up for all views where we're not able to see straight ahead.

I had this same idea, we really need something like this, especially since every time you leave the powers interface to see here you are, you go back to the main powers menu once you open it again.

The new galnet interface could use other improvements too : for example, the looping headlines at the top of the page are a cool idea, but they need to stick with the 5-10 latest news, not scroll back to the very old ones, also they need to be clickables since they are just titles and don't contain information by themselves : seeing the title and then having to browse the list to find the article isn't practical.

Exactly. It's an unnecessary difficulty. Adding the ETA timer to the corner just makes sense, and honestly is NEEDED if you expect people to use GalNet/Powers screens in flight.

I like these ideas too, you should start up a new thread for them!
