Need an option in the main 'STARPORT' screen to 'Browse ship parts'

When docked at a starport we need an option from the main screen to 'Browse Ship Parts' or 'Shop for Ship Parts'. This should bring up a screen of parts that are available at THIS station/port and a quick indication of cost and whether they are better, worse or same than our currently fitted item.

Could I suggest the outfitting screen - others seem to have missed it

I am going to suggest - enter hanger - then star post services.
That was you will enter the hanger as the interface loads, you can check the BB, CM and such, then go to outfitting and not have to wait.

these other replies completely miss the point. ignore them. You need the Outfitting menu option.
