Wait, so any allies in a CZ also have a 20 damage buff too when I get the corrosive buff?

Yeah, a Corrosive MC somewhere on your ship is standard for combat effectiveness. Even on my ships that use all fixed weaponry, I will often have a turreted Corrosive MC because the debuff is so effective. This lets me keep my main weaponry on primary and secondary, while the turret keeps the debuff applied without any effort on my part. Perfect for a small slot on your Challenger.
