Engineers Need conductive components, help

I was lucky enough to have 1 unit as a reward for a mission, after 30+ hours I have not found another unit. made good cash with soo soo many cargo runs at least. there must be some place that they are very normal too that would increase the occurance of them being dropped. here is what I have done thus far.

1. cargo runs
2. res sites killing wanted fellas..got some stuff but not these.

someone said killing cargo ships works but I don't know any res sites in anarchy territory to go and do that..im by Cartu GuuGuyni in empire territory..any cartographers out there who could help.

Go after the Type6/7/9 ships. They pop like pinatas.

Oh and if you don't already have one get a collector and a few limpets. It's gunna be a long loot otherwise.

SO I went to anarcy system. dropped out of supercruise at the nav beacon. scanned beacon and no components were given to me. sadly there were lots of nasty ships in there that attacked me and killed me in seconds. am I supposed to blow up the beacon and collect the parts..

BTW I am so horribly bad at combat (ie. I lose in my fed corvette to an adder) I need NON combative solutions to getting these items.

Err, no. The Nav beacon displays all the system data (akin to using a DSS and ADS) in that system when scanned. What I meant was to destroy trade-class NPC ships, so Type 6/7/9. Why were you shot at a random nav beacon? Do you have cargo on you (not loot, but actual cargo)? Or are you wanted in that system?

Alternatively, check Signal Sources, specifically Encoded as they almost always contain rare loot. I've found Encoded most often appear away from Shipping Lanes. Degraded works as well, but not nearly as much good stuff there.

Dayman is right. I suspect he had cargo in his hold and got lit up. Carry nothing not even limpets and you'll be left alone assuming you don't have a local bounty which you shouldn't if a proper anarchy system.

yes I have 1 unit of samarium that I need for my egine mod level 2. I cant seem to transfer it anywhere for storage.

no bounties of anytype as I never attack anyone.

the nav sites are defanitly bust for me. I sold my samarium (which took 6 hours to get in the first place) so I could go in there with no cargo. im not wanted anywhere. I do belong to aisling duval faction. I tried 9 different nav sites in anarchy sectors. in every sector within 30s of being in the nav site I get scanned and attacked by someone. not all mind you just an odd one. some are faction agents I believe. either way I have to run or I die..so any other methods to get conductive components. I spent from 8 this morning till now..1am with almost no breaks..the whole bloody day..and nothing. wow am I upset.

I have to gather a lot of these Conductive Components as well. So i went into an anarchy system to check things out there.
I tried to find some in Ressource Extraction Sites but with the Materials/Cargo i already managed to gather i cant stand in a low RES for more than 5minutes before i run out of Shield Cells. Permanently under the attack of at least 3-10 ships, while not being Wanted.
Now the good thing is that RES and Nav Beacons are not the only option in an anarchy system. I just went from USS to USS and shot every tradeship i could see. Results: mostly every tradeship dropped at least 1 component. Pretty awesome, since you only have to fight 2-3 enemies if at all. (Have yet to enter any USS with thread level 4 or higher though, but the 0-3 work just fine)

Yeah the little nuances to the game are frustrating. I've never aligned to any power which I think has been beneficial. NPCs usually (I say that lightly) won't attack for no reason. I can sit completely idle at a Nav beacon for hours with no issues as I don't carry cargo either so there's nothing an NPC wants.

Even after 2+ years of playing, I still get frustrated at times. My advice - walk away for a bit then come back once the bug bites you again.
