Need Help ed fails to load in vr tried all

Been trying for three days now to figure out how to play in vr. Here is what i have tried.
Downloaded steam version, launched in vr after steam vr was running . loading screen in head set says ed seems to be taking a while to load ect ect never loading. ed music plays, main monitor goes dark, and the ed version info appears
at the bottom of the main monitor. still nothing in the head set.

I've tried dling the oculus version. Same thing, ed runs plays music on main monitor and the version info apears but theres nothing in the headset.

I have tried frontiers launcher, 2d launched into game with oculus running. put on head set and switched 3d to hmd audio. this does even less than the two other.

I have tried edprofiler launching in 2d with minimum 3d settings and then switching to 3d hmd audio in game. nothing

ive done a fresh os install, graphic drivers are up todate . Usbs are up to date. Windows is up to date.

some other possible useful info.
I am running 2 1080ti's not in sli . main monitor on #1 and occulus #2 .
every other vr game runs fine.
win 7 prof 64
cv1
some cussing hair pulling and nail biting

please help need mah fix!

I have not only because i have no way of doing so atm. i have an adapter and a hdmi splitter on the way. I will let you know.

Splitter do not work at all.

Just simplify your setup f
r testing.
one monitor on DP on gpu 1, rift directly connected to native HDMI on gpu 1.

Then add monitors or trouble shoot further if problem remain.

I moved both the rift and the monitor to the same gpu and this fixed it. Cant believe it was that simple. I've been pulling my hair out over this. Hopefully in the future we will be able to utilize the full power of a single gpu.
