Newcomer / Intro Need help escaping from a Star!

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I accidentaly cruised in a star after jumping and now i cant escape because when i want to supercruise out, it tells me to allign with the escape vector but there just is no such thing. My ship is overheating and i hafe 27% hull left. How do I escape from this??

as above and head for the escape vector as if you are interdicted

There will be an escape vector, looks like a blue target, you just have to look, or do as HipToss says, forget hyperdrive and just go to supercruise.

I MADE IT!!! My Cockpit looks bit crunchy, bit I live. Thanks for Info, i really had a destination set.
