Engineers Need Help Finding Chemical Manipulators

I have picked up at least 100 in seeking weapons/medicines in anarchy systems in war/outbreak state. I go to the galaxy map, filter to outbreak and war only, scrolled around and found 5-6 anarchy systems, bookmark each, jumped to them until i find a seeking weapons or medicine and profit. For those unsure, the seeking weapons/medicine sites have shown up in my navigation panel as soon as i jumped into system.

When you get in to one of these sites just shoot the t9 piñata's. Only the winged t9's help each other, the others don't defend the others, when you clean out the non winged t9's just exit to main menu and jump back in and more will spawn, rinse and repeat until you are full.

I have done this at least 3 times and friends have each done it a few times with great success.

Make sure the system government is anarchy so you don't get a bounty, the t9's should be lawless.

Personally, shooting up "seeking medicine" Type 9s is even worse than killing miners...that's like going on a Red Cross murderspree. No thanks.

Don't just look of "Seeking Weapons" POIs!!! Main reason being, that they don't always show up in systems in War or Civil War states.

Yeah, I think I've noticed....

I'm not happy with the idea of blowing up traders or aid ships. (That's sort of what *I* do for a living in Elite...)

I really want to find a concrete answer to how/why these things show up; at least it's a certainty that "civil war" counts too and not just "war" which is far less common.

Well, kudos for bothering to make the video, but that's almost exactly what I was trying without any luck and I did try dropping into Encoded USSs too (since the Combat Aftermaths were not common)....

But I'm not positive it was a high-population system?

(I really hate random generation, I really really do)

So, funny story....

I logged in today after taking a break since making this thread. I had parked in Rishmi.

Not 2 jumps away was a high-population anarchy-controlled system in a full war state, "Dis Pater". And I'm no fan of Denton Patreus really.

I jump over and voila, there's a Seeking Weapons POI next to the primary star (not even near the station in the system which was over 10k ly away), inside it were Type-9 arms dealers belonging to an anarchic mafia "Crimson Crew" of some sort, hawking their wares.

So I opened fire. And it felt righteous.

It took me around 15 kills to get my desired chemical manipulators (having at least 15 is sufficient for me, and you get 3 materials for each one you scoop now I guess? so that was neat to discover).

So I suppose this *might* confirm that high population systems produce a higher chance of these POIs appearing, though now I'm loathe to confirm if they show up in "Civil War" too, not just "War".

Additionally, I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere...but more ships will spawn in and show up in the instance - there's no need to leave it or mode-switch to get more targets to blow up. But sometimes it can take a minute or two (hence why I only found this out on the third entrance to the POI).

I also saw one yesterday in LP 790-29 yesterday.

Did you by any chance note what the population/state/government was?

If we can find a common denominator somewhere it will surely help people in the future trying to find these POIs....

Older thread but just wanted to share:

Dav's Hope
Combat Aftermath
and

Anarchy systems in Famine - Distribution Center - Limitless T9's - No bounty - No hassle
You can also pick up "Datamined Wake Exceptions" while justifying your lack of morals :)
