Engineers Need help locating Polymer Capacitors

If anyone knows a system where they have seen some Polymer Capacitors please let me know. I have been in anarchy systems, boom systems, and so far I haven't found a single one. Any help would be appreciated. I have gone to hazardous resource extraction sites without any luck yet.

Yes, CZ's are the place to go.

If you don't choose a side you can pretty much kill with impunity and scoop freely with little or no resistance. After a while the NPC's will get fussy and all turn on you at once so have your boost...boost....jump plan prepared in advance.

HIP 105368 Anarchy System.
Will easily find Authority ships.
Got myself two ships, ended up with 15 capacitors in less than five minutes.

Chacahua as well, went there for Civil Unrest findings. Is anarchy and see 3 authority ships.

Has something changed about CZs and materials drops as of late? I spent quite a bit of time watching a fight in a CZ today, hoping to find some polymer capacitors for myself, and not a single destroyed ship left behind any materials at all. Not until I got involved in the fight myself, that is ... then the ships I destroyed left some materials, but completely pedestrian stuff, not useful at all.

Only ships that you fight will drop mats. Has always been the case.

Thanks, I never knew that. For me, until recently, CZs were just a place to be avoided. And I thought I read that people were not taking sides in CZs and still getting materials - I must have misinterpreted those statements.

To be more accurate, you can still scan ships and get data mats without engaging such as untypical shield scans, but for physical mats you must actually fight.

Thanks for the clarification. So, when one DOES fight at a CZ, do Polymer Capacitors still drop in the current version? And if so, is it purely RNG whether you get them, or do you have to fight certain classes of ships?

Couldn't say for the latest version, but it has always been RNG. I have long since stopped going to CZ's for mats such as polymer capacitors though. Davs hope is far easier and quicker.

I picked up some of these in a CZ a couple days ago so they are still dropping. The one think I noticed is they seemed to drop more from larger ships, I kill a couple dozen smaller ships like ASP, vulture, cobras and didn't get any, started killing clippers and cutters and they started dropping.
