Need Help With Forum Avatar

My avatar is truncated at the sides no matter how I position it it in the forum (avatar) editor. In the editor it fits within the confines of the window, but when I save it the edges are chopped. I have reduced the size to less than 400x400 as recommended with no change. I have cropped it in the editor, reduced the file size, all with the same result. Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, no joy. I even went so far as to make it 50 pixels by 50. Seems to have a mind of its own, lol.

maybe change the pic file format
you are aware any changes you make take up to 24 hrs to acctualy change
