Need help with gathering mats

Were is the best place to find raw mats at I’m having trouble been mining but all I get is carbon I need magnese

In the SRV on metallic or metal-rich planets. You can drive around looking for signals or you can find geological sites and shoot the deposits there. Manganese is really common, you'll find it anywhere

try a planet with Manganese. Volcanic ones are even easier.

Here are 89 landable celestial bodies with a convenient gravity (0.5 to 2.0 G) within 500 LY of Sol that have a droprate of 16.5% per outcrop. Examine the entries to determine whether they have volcanism. If any, try to gather from there. Otherwise roam around and shoot rocks to eventually get it.

Maximise your high grade mats and use the material trader to trade for lower grade mats you need. The exchange rate is good for the same line so you only need to fill the top grade mats and that will give you plenty for all your engineering.

lol ya what u do when u harvest everything? Wait weeks?

IIRC there is at least 10 to 20 shard poi's on each planet.
The ones you farm takes time to regenerate.
One poi will usually fill your bin.

The cool thing about the crystal shard sites is each planet gives you a different material, if I remember correctly, and there's mats for refuels and stuff. Jameson's crashed cobra is good for encoded mats, and Davs hope is where you wanna head for manufactured. o7
