Need Help with Hippos

Hello Everyone,

I need help with my hippos please. I just created their habitat with water and everything but they stay on low welfare because they need water?!?!?!
I tried emptying the water and putting it back and it doesnt work. I made sure they can get in and out of the water and still nothing works.

What am i doing wrong?

Maybe try to make the water deeper in the middle.
When you chisel it, you can make a deep centre and a more swallow outer part.
I don't know if they even realize the depth, but i was struggling with that also.
I remade the habitat several times, last time i made it deeper and it worked, but that might also have been a coincidence.

Hippos are a pain in the butt but it easy to fix what they need. Go to your heat map and click on the second option for the habitat heat map. Click on a hippo and unpause the game while it update. Everything that’s blue is where the hippo can reach and the white is too steep for the hippo. If the edges of the water are too steep or if the water is really deep it won’t count towards the hippos water need and each hippo you add to the habitat needs more space and more water.

Once you adjust the terrain (smooth the edges of the bank or make the pond larger) and go back to your habitat heat map (unpause so it updates) and see if the problem is fixed.
