Need help with paths.

I built this viewing platform and turned the bottom part into a shelter. It worked out pretty well and I was excited. HOWEVER, my guests just completely ignore it. When I first built it they used it but then randomly stopped. I've torn the whole thing apart and rebuilt it, I've deleted all the paths and built them again. I have no idea what to do... any tips??

As an experiment: close off the glass walls, so that they can ONLY see into the exhibit using the platform. If they don't use it, there's some sort of bug that's preventing them from using it. If they DO use it at that point, it means that they prefer the ground-level view. I believe this to be the case, actually. I think your platform may be too high.

I personally keep my viewing paths just barely clearing the animal's heads. It seems silly, but the animals don't mind and the guests love the closer view. In fact, the animals get a bonus out of it. If it's low enough to the ground, they consider it to be hard shelter. It's GREAT for Ostriches, who seem to be really skittish. When the guests get too much, they just go under the platform and take a nap! Everybody wins!

I feel it always takes a while before guest enter new areas. For example I had a path running through my pronghorn exhibit and no one would enter it. I place guests in it, and they turn around and leave. However 5 or 10 minutes later I go by the enclosure and it’s full. A lot of people used it.

Also there is a bug where some guests might get stuck on pathing.

Either use the advice of the first person or just wait and see for a while. I don’t think height is an issue as I build a staircase three clicks high (it had to go over some facilities though it still has negative impact) and visitors used it fairly soon to watch into an enclosure (which is way further then what you have).

I lowered it and they seem to be responding. Still having issues with them getting stuck on the path though.

I'll also have to see if they continue to use it. They used my high one originally and then just stopped. So I'm not sure. Could also be because I changed the angle of the stairs?

In my experience, they use it regardless of angle of the stairs. But the game is pretty unpredictable right now, so who knows? It's pretty buggy, so it's hard to be sure if you're experiencing intended behavior, or just beta weirdness.
