Need help with reinstall on a new PC

My old computer died. I had a repair shop replace the motherboard. They also told me that my windows os was corrupted and they had to wipe my boot drive and reinstall. I reinstalled my oculus sw, and was able to do an ED launcher update. I had ED commander deluxe edition, but cannot see it. Thru the rift all I see is the basic ED game. I can start it, but it only shows on my monitor, not in my rift. Also, I cannot control it with my HOTAS, only partly via the keyboard.

I've been playing for 2-3 years now, and would like to find a way to get the game operational again without having to star over and lose all my progress. What a mess! I'd appreciate any words of wisdom !

there are settings in the options menu to run in VR, you probally need to set those up.. goto Options , Graphics then look for 3D it needs to be set on VR headphones/Speakers to whichever sound system you use but this needs to be set to VR for that to kick in.. there may be settings you need to setup in Occuluis software I am not sure as I have an Odyssey+

Does the game work in non-VR mode? Also, if you have a Steam version, you might try to launch it through Steam VR.

I'm having problems with my VR setup after the last oculus update. It seems to have borked my sound. I can sort of get it to work for a little while, but then it shuts down after a few minutes in-game and requires a reboot to get working again..
