need help with X52 load profile at startup

Hey sorry for dragging this back up, but thanks for linking that post. I figured out what it meant. I made a profile to get rid of the stupid pinky button function and wanted to autoload it.

In RegEdit, copy the thing in yellow. It's your device ID.

Then Browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Logitech\Configuration.
Right Click on Configuration and select New -> Key. Name it "StartupProfiles".
Right Click on StartupProfiles and select New -> String Value. A new thing will show up on the right side under (Default) called "New Value #1". Paste in your Device ID (the yellow thing above) including the curly braces { }. You can also right click it and select rename.

Then Right-Click on your Device ID, click Modify, and paste the path of your profile file into the "Value data:" field. Click OK, and your window should look like mine below.

Test this by plugging in your X52. It should autoload your profile now.

That was well worked out and I will remember that trick.
Emm! have you updated your software? Because mine autoloads the last used profile. :)

I'm running 8.0.213.0, which I think is the newest available. Is there a better one to use? All the instructions say to right-click the profile to bring up an autoload function and I could never get it to work (supposedly this was from the saitek version 7 software)

But without that registry change nothing would autoload for me.

The same version as me and come to think of it. It has only recently started to reload my last used profile but not every time Windoze starts.
I might just run a Reg cleaner. :)

Sorry to resurrect this old thread, but I just wanted to say a big thank you for this information. The mouse stick on my X52 is failing and making the mouse cursor stick to the top of the screen (constantly going 'up'). I have a profile setup that disables the mouse stick altogether, but it's a PITA to manually active it every time I start Windows. This reg key is perfect for automatically fixing that. 👍
