Need more Antelopes

in terms of antelope, the only ones that come to mind really for me are the Kafue or Nile lechwe, blackbuck and mhorr gazelle. an addax or scimitar-horned oryx would be nice too. I'd really like to see some other ungulates though, in particular the Pere David's deer, southern pudu, guanaco, red river hog, markhor and Przewalski's horse

Would love for additional antelope species to be added to the game. Some many possibilities here, the sad part is that at 4 species a pack, and assuming that an African DLC does get added to the game next year, it would be hard to imagine that they would include more than one. Even one species of antelope, would already be a big leap of faith, considering that there practically no monkeys in the game, a massive amount of African small mammals missing, both African Rhino species, many carnivores like the African Leopard, etc and an army of ground dwelling birds that would not need any additional mechanics, since they would operate in similar fashion to the Flamingos and Peacocks. I know that the particular subject of bigger DLCs has been discussed here to death (especially by me) but without them the game will absolutely be missing an incredible amount of animals commonly found in zoos.

Some Asian species like blackbuck and nilgai would be good before we get more African antelopes although I agree that it would be great to get addax and scimitar-horned oryx. Arabian oryx would be great too.

You are absolutely correct, ungulate Asian species would be amazing to have, the once you mentioned alongside Chital Deer, Sambar Deer, Barasingha Deer, and of course my beloved Gaur (I need him back) but we still hit the wall of the four pack species every single time, maybe even more so that in Africa with Asia, since you have a very large amount of popular small carnivores, primates and larger cats that will surely take precedent. No matter how you slice it, we are looking at an immense amount of species being left out of the game, with the current model. The saddest part is that the general consensus among a lot of the players here, is that this not only will not change, but that asking for it, is pointless, so with this defeated mentality we have zero chance of ever seeing this magnificent animals.

I'm not sure that's so accurate - looking at Frontier's other games, DLC types seem to vary quite a lot. To me it entirely depends on what "level" of DLC the first three packs were.

Comparing Zoo to Coaster, Coaster's first three big updates were the Winter, Spring, and Summer Updates, which added limited new content. Then came the Spooky Pack, which was much more significant and included new gameplay features. They also included ride-only packs which didn't come with much in the way of scenery and building, but included, well, new rides.

So there is a chance that the Arctic, SA, and Australia Packs were "low level" updates, and that there is more to come. We can never say for sure, however. Frankly there are endless possibilities within even the current DLC framework to get a good chunk of the animals we want, depending on how they theme their DLC's. Basing them on continents might not be the MO forever - looking at Africa especially, we already have a very well fleshed-out African building and scenery theme, so adding another one might be unnecessary. So what do we get instead? An Africa Pack with no building set? Or something else entirely?

I have a feeling that the continent-themed packs were created primarily to cover the 'gaps' in the roster in terms of not only animal diversity, but also in terms of building and scenery items. Going forward, now that those areas are covered, it's possible we'll see something new in play. Maybe something bigger, like PlanCo's Spooky Pack (when compared to the smaller updates), or something smaller, like the ride-only packs or the JWE Dinosaur packs (essentially more "deluxe upgrades", if you will).

I am crazy about the ungulates and they are the most important part of the game for me.

I miss the most:

Red River hog
Scimitar horned oryx
Addax
Somali wild as(s)
Babirusa
Malayan tapir

but also craving for:

Arabian oryx
Giant Eland
Bontebok
Greater kudu

Nubian ibex
Nile lechwe
Defassa waterbuck
Dama gazelle

Kiang
Nilgai
Blackbuck
Axis deer

Przewalski horse
Pere david deer
Anoa
Benteng

Marsh deer
Key deer
Vicunia
Moose

We need a lot of animals in planet zoo yet. True more antelope also. @nutrit I would personally prefer the alpine ibex over the Nubian but either is fine I guess. I would expect a few more for sure but I don’t know about a lot more.

As a bovid enthusiast, I wholeheartedly agree! There are a lot of species that would fit in well with the conservation message of the game, and many that are commonly seen in captivity. I'd honestly be quite surprised if we didn't see species like the scimitar-horned oryx in DLC at some point.

I went on my first zoo trip since February to a newly-opened ungulate conservation reserve in Norfolk yesterday and am now absolutely hooked on these animals - this new place involves driving around in convoy in electric golf buggies through a single over 100-acre reserve where all the animals live together. There are probably close to thirty species and subspecies already present. Of the fifteen-or-so ungulates I saw there, not a single one is in Planet Zoo - I would especially love to see the blackbuck, roan antelope, Malayan sambar, Vietnamese sika deer, blesbok, mouflon and scimitar-horned oryx. I would even like to see the domestic water buffalo - despite being domestic animals seeing them thudding through the tall grass was an absolute sight to behold.
